Eating in Naples

Eating in Naples Italy

Eating in Naples Italy

Earlier this month I was down in Naples working on an exciting new project with Bonnie Alberts from Napoli Unplugged and my very talented artist friend Kelly Medford.

In-between location scouting and content brainstorming there was plenty of time for eating. Here is a list of some great places to eat in Naples.

Tours in Rome {The Roman Guy Golf Cart Tour}

Update March 2015 - The Roman Guy is not currently offering this tour, but has many others to choose from. Follow the link for more information.

I love to walk. Years of living in countries where taking a walk was not practical or even downright dangerous took it's toll on me.
One of my favorite apps on my phone is Moves, where I track how far and fast I walked and where I went. Now that I live in Rome, I rarely take public transport and would much rather walk for an hour than wait and squeeze on a bus or go underground.

When we have visitors they are taken on what my brother has named The Death March of Fun. Not everyone is so enthusiastic about walking for kilometers over the cobblestones, particularly as the days get hotter. The Roman Guy, a new tour company in Rome, has a great alternative; The "Eco" Rome Golf Cart Tour.

Little Altars Everywhere {Life on the Amalfi Coast}

One of the things I love best, particularly in Naples and along the Amalfi Coast, are the little altars everywhere.

You find simple ones tucked into tiny spots or much more elaborate shrines with lights and even music. They are a quiet, but ubiquitous, part of daily life on the Amalfi Coast.

Gelato in Rome

It is that time of year again. The time of year when every blogger in Rome makes their best Rome in Gelato list. I will make no claims to best, but here are a few new places in that I am really enjoying along with the warmer days.

Coffee + Gelato in Rome { Gelateria Fiocco di Neve}

It's mid afternoon in Rome and you need a lift. Coffee? Gelato? How about both!

Shopping in Rome {Eat's Food Market + Prati}

You know a grocery store is fancy if you have to walk through a Tiffany's jewelery store to get there.

Eat's Food Market is a new arrival on the Rome food shopping scene. It is located underneath the revamped and fashionable COIN department store, now renamed COIN Excelsior in the well heeled Prati neighborhood.

A look back at La Dolce Vita {Gillian's List of Links}

Piazza del Popolo // Rome

Rome is all about history, But usually you are thinking ancient ruins and Baroque art. Here are a few videos and slide shows of slightly less old Rome that give you a glimpse of how much things have and have not changes in this stupendous miserable eternal city.
