African Winds {Rome}

It is hot hot hot in Rome. The winds from Africa - called the "Scipione" are the reason for the searing heat.

My first line of defense is usually to escape to the beach. But sometimes the trains and traffic and strikes are just too much and I stay closer to home and go to the pool.

Here are my picks for cool blue spots to cool down in Rome.

OS Club - Hidden behind the Baths of Trajan, this is my number one pick. The food is good, the water is cool and there is plenty of ice in your drink.
