Boston {Where to Eat}

We are in the states for a few weeks doing the college visits tour.

We started in Boston.  These are the things we loved.
Summer shack
50 Dalton Street

Just around the corner from the Berklee College of Music is the Summer Shack.  I had tender lobster on a toasted buttered roll served with a cold IPA and fresh, local corn on the cob.  Being able to sit down and eat at 3:00pm was a refreshing change from Italy's stricter dining hours.

Oak Long Bar + Kitchen
38 St. James Ave

Chase away the jet lag with a generous, icy cold, dirty martini served with speared blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of clam chowder.  The grand and elegant space right on Copely square help orient you after a long journey.

Clio Restaurant
370A Commonwealth Ave.

Casa Romero
30 Gloucester Street

A great thing about having lived in lots of places is that you pretty much always have someone to visit wherever you are. I caught up with an old college pal who shared some of his Boston favorites.

We started the evening with swanky cocktails at the bar at Clio Restaurant  and then we were led to a not easy to find Mexican spot.

Trident Books
338 Newbury Street

Boston is a college town, filled with college haunts.  We loved Trident books with it's  warm chocolate chip cookies and floors of books.

Going to Boston?  Make sure you have Kim Grant's App Boston Travel Essentials.  It answered just about every question about Boston we had.
